Exterior painting and staining. Nothing else.

We work only on the outside of your home, so that’s where all of our attention goes.

The Wildwood method

Brushed and rolled. Every coat, every home.

Wildwood doesn’t spray. Every project is applied by brush and roller, using Sherwin-Williams paint and stain.

Working by hand lets us work the coating into the surface, details and crevices of your exterior, with direct control over how every coat goes on. It takes longer than spraying, and we’re proud of that.

  • The brush

Cuts in along trim, corners and edges, and works the coating into grain, seams and crevices.

  • The roller

Lays down an even coat across siding, boards and broad surfaces, pressed into the texture.

  • The hands holding them

An owner controls how the coating goes on, every square foot of the way.

Preparation and process

The finished coat is only as good as the preparation underneath it.

Prep is matched to what each surface actually needs, so not every project calls for every step.

Peeling paint like this is scraped and sanded before anything new goes on.
  1. Power wash

Clears dirt, chalking and mildew where appropriate and prepares the surface for the next steps.

  2. Scrape

Loose and peeling paint is removed rather than painted over.

  3. Sand

Rough edges and scraped areas are smoothed as needed.

  4. Paint or stain

Sherwin-Williams products applied by brush and roller. Never sprayed.

  5. Final walkthrough

The finished project is reviewed with you before we pack up.

Our story

It started with four friends and a summer job.

Wildwood started in Strongsville in 2013 with four college friends, some flyers and an idea to make a little extra money for the summer. More than a decade later, the company has come full circle: when you hire Wildwood today, the owners themselves do the work.
